The market is a perfect place for a dash of "couleur locale". Fruit, vegetables, cheeses, wines, tapenades, fine meats, olives, nuts, roast chicken, paella, but also soaps, table linen, herbs, clothing, leather goods, ceramics, ... something for everyone! Every village has its own specific market day. Monday is market day in Bédoin… a unique experience to soak up the Provencal atmosphere. Please note: the market starts around 8 a.m. and ends around 13 p.m.

There are also the "brocante markets" and the "vide greniers". These can best be compared with our flea markets. Sometimes you can buy nice and original things. Many French people see a visit to the brocante market as a real family happening. Pay attention to the signs on the side of the road with place and date indication of these markets. On Sundays there is the popular weekly brocante market in Carpentras (Parking Les Platanes).
