The combe de Curnier, 10,5km

Le Combe de Curnier is a gorge not far from Bédoin. Via a small road you come to a parking lot les Colombets, just after the chambre d'Hote de Curnier. The route first follows a slightly wider path between the bushes and trees. Left and right you see the rock walls going straight up. Soon the path becomes narrower and narrower until you really walk through the high rocks. The rock walls just do not touch your shoulders left and right. The path winds its way up through the high rocks and is full of loose stones. These loose stones make the climb a lot harder. The gorge Le Combe de Curnier ends at a wide unpaved road (711m). from this path there is a beautiful view of the valley including the town of Bédoin.

For the rest of the route we turn right and follow the wide path for about 50 meters and then turn left (yellow sign) on a stony and rising path between trees and shrubs, including the beautifully flowering yellow broom. There seems to be no end to the long climb, but once in a while we see a glimpse of the summit of Mont Ventoux (1911 meters) in the distance. Arriving on a cross path, the route turns left (GR91 B), but for a nice break at the ruins of Jas de Landérots (1017 meters) we went to the right. After the picnic we picked up the route again and followed the GR91-B for about 1.8 km to the Jas du Pié Gros. This path runs over the flank of the mountain, sometimes descending, sometimes uphill. The views over the valley are beautiful.

At jas du Pié Gros we leave the GR91-B and turn left down towards Replanas (yellow marking). In the beginning the forest trail is easy, but then it becomes a path with only loose stones, which makes the descent more difficult. The path winds and winds between the bushes and trees to a crossroads of hiking trails (Replanas, 442 meters). To return to the starting point Les Colombets we turn left and follow the GR 91 for about 800 meters, a wide and easy walking path.
