Bédoin is located at the foot of Mont Ventoux - a legendary and mythical place. Driving to the top (by any means of transport - 21.2 km from kilometre zero) through the cedar forest is almost a "must" when you are on holiday here. Originally this road was constructed to hold car races - that is why some curves are also sloping. After 15 km you reach Chalet Reynard, where you can stop for a snack or a drink among the numerous cycling tourists. Six kilometres further, on top of the Mont Ventoux, the view is beautiful. Bring an extra pull or wind jacket, because - even in full summer - it can be surprisingly cold upstairs. You can also eat or drink something upstairs while enjoying the stunning panorama. From here you can walk to "La Chapelle Sainte-Croix", a simple stone chapel with a large concrete cross, founded in 1936, just below the southern ridge. On the small altar you can find personal and sometimes moving mementos from people all over the world.
